Benefits of Patron

Can someone give me an update on what benefits there to users if they become Patrons?  I understand that the contribution helps maintain the system but what does a Patron get access to over and above a free account?  There was a post on this topic but it well out of date (2014/15).
Also, if my Club becomes a patron, can several admins use the system without being Patrons themselves?
Thanks
Fiona

Fiona,  I don't know if a club can become a patron, but it is tied to an email address.  Below are the features that can be part of an event if the event is saved by a patron.   They will be removed if a non-patron saves the event, but can be added again by a patron.

Contributions via patronage helps offset the cost of running the application and help develop and extend new features.  But we've found that there quite a number of people happy to take advantage of what the application offers without helping to support it.  So we have enabled a system of benefits for Patrons that opens other functionality as Peter has indicated above.

The intent is that individuals will sign up on the site as an official.  An organization cannot be an official for an event - it is an individual that represents that organization.  Each official for an event should have their own registration with their own email.  And while you can designate one user as the Patron account to set up events, that defeats the intent of supporting the site with contributions from the officials that benefit the most.  It is not uncommon for those clubs that routinely use RRoS to have the PRO, Chief Judge and Scorer as paid Patrons.  Having said that, we do not police who uses the site, as long as they are transparent in identifying themselves and follow the guidelines.  We've found the community is generally interested in helping ensure the site is safe and properly maintained, and contribute their time and money to help make that happen.  And without them and their support, the application wouldn't exist.  So I would encourage you, and anyone else using the site, to help support it.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the clarity.  Gee, I should stop procrastinating and become a patron.
