Signals Ashore

What Signals Ashore Does

Signals Ashore lets race officials post racing signal status — flags displayed ashore, postponement signals, abandonment signals, and other notices — in real time from a mobile device. The current signal status appears on the public event pages and on the Signals Ashore display page (suitable for a monitor at the venue). Competitors and anyone subscribed to the event are notified by email, SMS, and WhatsApp each time the signal status changes.

Enabling Signals Ashore

Enable Signals Ashore by editing your event and selecting Signals Ashore in Event Settings. Once enabled, a Signals Ashore link appears in the Event Panel. Before you can post signals, set up the signal flags you will use for the event. From the Signals Ashore page, select the flags from the standard signal flag library that apply to your event. You can also create custom class flags if needed.

Posting Signals

To post a signal, open the Signals Ashore page from the Event Panel and select or update the current flag status. Choose which flags are currently displayed ashore, add any message if needed, and save. The update is pushed immediately to the public display page and notifications are sent to competitors. Clearing the signal or changing the status works the same way — simply update the current display and save.
